Why I Love a Maxi Dress feat. House of Fraser

I love a maxi dress, they're such a good go to during the Summer months, especially on days like we often have here in the UK where the weather wavers between warm and cool. Maxi dresses are super comfortable, suit ANY figure and give you just the right amount of coverage so you're never worried you're showing too much flesh. Plus, when the sun decides to hide for a while, you're all covered up.

A maxi dress is a pretty effortless outfit choice. Dress it up, dress it down, tie it all together with cute accessories and you're ready for the day.

House of Fraser have pages and pages of maxis on their website this Summer, whether you're looking for a cute, flowy daytime dress, a body hugging dress perfect for a night out or something pretty for a wedding, you'll find something to suit.
I love this Khaki Tie Shoulder Maxi Dress from Dorothy Perkins petite range.
It looks as good on a warm summers day with a pair of sandals as it does with some cute wedges and jewellery for an evening out. It's a great colour, and so versatile, I'm confident I could still pull it off as we move into Autumn, with some boots and a leather jacket.

I often reach for a maxi when I'm in a rush in the morning, I have a screaming toddler in the next room or I haven't had time to shave my legs [come on girls, I know you're with me on this!] I'm not a huge fan of my legs, so a maxi is a hit with me.

The cute tie shoulders bring a little attention to tanned shoulders and the neck line is the perfect shape for a cute necklace and highlighted collarbone!!
At just £20, I think it's a great price for such a worthy addition to my wardrobe!

What do you think?
Are you a fan of maxi dresses?

  10. I'm a huge fan of maxi dresses too - that one looks lovely on you! They're definitely one of the easiest and most versatile items of clothing. So easy to throw on and not worry about coordinating an outfit. I love to pair mine with a denim jacket when it's a bit chilly. They were a godsend during pregnancy and breastfeeding too! 13. I'm definitely a fan of a maxi dress. They're great in the summer months, and when I was pregnant I literally lived in them. Nowadays it's mainly leggings, which hides the legs successfully, but not in quite as stylish a way as a maxi. I need to wear them more often! #KCACOLS

  14. I love maxi dress too, I have a couple in my wardrobe. However, most of these maxi dresses are too tall for me, so I usually fold the hem to suit my height. Your maxi dress one looks gorgeous, love the color. #KCACOLS
