Tag | What's On My Phone

I've been tagged by the lovely Claire at Milk and Sandcastles to do the 'What's On My Phone' tag. So here goes...

Type of Phone:
I have a white iPhone 5.
Last call made:
My last call was to James.
Last call received:
The last person to call me was also James.
Last text message sent:
It was to my friend Rose. I'm not going to tell you what it said :)
Last text message received:
This was also from Rose.
Last notification:
The last notification was a Facebook message from my sister in law [and Boss ;)], Maria.
Most used app:
I use soooo many apps. The one I use the most is an app called First Year, it's an app where I can track all of Taylor's feeds, changes, sleeps etc. I love it, its been a god send lately as I'd just forget when he was last fed. It also charts everything so you can see a routine forming and work out averages of how much sleep he's having, how much formula he's having, when he last had medication etc.

Last app used:
Whats App.
Last app downloaded:
The last app I downloaded was the Zoella app. I think its fab she has her own app! I catch up on her vids when I get some spare time.

Home Screen:
My home screen is the first picture taken of the 3 men in my life, when I was in hospital after I'd just had Taylor. 7 weeks ago. :)

I tag Rebecca @ Mrs Meldrum, Emma @ Not Your Average, Danny @ DannyUK & Charl @ Ginger Girl Says.

What's On Your Phone guys??

Parenting | A Day In The Life of Taylor

I was inspired by a blogpost I read recently, of 24 hours of a young baby, they'd printed it out and popped it into their baby book. I thought it was a lovely idea and something that would be lovely to look back upon.

I love reading my pregnancy updates, I'm lucky to have it all on my blog to look back at and read how my pregnancy progressed, so I've decided that, along with Taylor's monthly updates, I'll try to do a 'Day In The Life Of...' post each month.

I already track his feeds, changes and sleeps on an app [as I'd forget else!! :)] so I'll just pop them into a blog post in more detail.

Here goes...

A Day In The Life of Taylor James
@ 1 Month Old

7:07: I wake up after a 9hr sleep, I slept through the night for the first time! Yay!! I'm not surprised after yesterday, I didn't sleep longer than 20 mins all day and I was soooo grumpy all day!!! I did sleep in Mummy's bed though, which she doesn't like doing, but I was a bit fussy and clingy all evening and wanted to stay close to Mummy. So while I slept through the night, Mummy didn't get much sleep at all!! :)
7:08: Mummy changed my wet nappy. I was getting a bit grumpy as I was hungry. [Not surprising after sleeping through with no feeds! :)]
7:26: I drink 5oz of formula.
7:30-8:30: We have family time in Mummy & Daddy's bed, with my brother too. Daddy has the day off today, yay! We were 'chatting' and playing. I gave lots of smiles and coo's. Bradley leaves to go to school at half past. Mummy takes photos of me to celebrate me sleeping through.

8:35: Mummy gets me dressed. I'm wearing navy trousers and a stripy tshirt with a doggy on the front.
8:45: I have Daddy time in bed while Mummy has a bath and gets ready. Lots of 'chatting', smiles and snuggles.
9:20: I fall asleep on Daddy in bed.
11:11: I wake up and Mummy changes my wet nappy.
11:30: I drink 4oz of formula.
11:40: Mummy changes my dirty nappy. I smile and coo at Mummy & Daddy, they talk to me in silly voices and it makes me laugh. Mummy puts some 'Snuffle Babe' nasal drops into my nose as I've been very snuffly. It makes me cry a little bit. But then I'm smiling again.
11:45: We go out in Daddy's car to go look at wallpaper for our new house. I fall asleep on and off in the car and pram.

14:18: I wake up when we get home and Mummy changes my wet nappy.
14:37: I drink 4oz of formula.
14:43: I fall asleep in Mummy's arms for 5 minutes after my feed.
15:00: Daddy has taken his car to the garage and I have play time with Mummy - on my play mat, I get excited at all the toys hanging above my head. Mummy lays next to me and makes me smile and laugh. I have a little bit of tummy time.

15:20: Mummy sits me in my bouncy chair, I'm getting excited about the toys in front of me, and the colours and lights from Peppa Pig on the TV. Then I'm a little bit sick so Mummy has to change my top. I'm now wearing a blue top with a Fire Engine on.

15:37: Mummy changes my wet nappy.
16:00: I have Mummy cuddles and she rocks me, I fall sleep while she is watching TOWIE :)
16:40: Daddy is home and I wake up. We go out in the car to go and watch Bradley play football.
17:30: We get home and Daddy changes my dirty nappy.
17:56: Daddy gives me 5oz of formula.
18:00: I have snuggles and a bit of playing with Daddy whilst Mummy does the ironing.
18:54: I get a little bit grumpy so Mummy rocks and cuddles me and I fall asleep. I'm put into my Moses basket whilst Mummy & Daddy have dinner.
19:26: I wake up a bit grumpy. I get tired and hungry about this time every day.
19:44: Mummy and Daddy bath me - it always calms me down, I love the warm water and splashing with my legs. I stare at Daddy while he holds me. Mummy washes me with Johnson's Top to Toe body wash tonight.
19:55: Mummy takes me into the bedroom for quiet time. She puts me in my sleep suit, it has teddies on it. I'm a bit too grumpy for baby massage tonight so she feeds me straight away.
20:00: I drink 3oz of formula then I have a bit of wind and Im a little bit sick. We have snuggles for a while, I'm getting sleepy.
20:15: My brother Bradley comes in to say goodnight, I give him some smiles.

20:30: I drink another 1.5oz of formula.
20:41: I fall asleep in Mummy's arms and she puts me into my Moses basket.
00:46: I wake up hungry, Mummy changes my wet nappy.
01:05: I have 5oz of formula.
01:11: Mummy changes my dirty nappy.
01:20: I fall back to sleep, Mummy puts me in my Moses basket.
04:30: I wake up a little grizzly, I want my dummy for comfort but it keeps falling out my mouth and waking me up. Mummy lets me go in her bed after a while and I fall asleep snuggling Mummy.
08:00: I wake up for a new day! :)

Until next time...

Parenting | Day Out With My Boys : OOTD

James worked all weekend last weekend, so the boys and I popped into town for some lunch and Bradley wanted to trade in some computer games.
Bradley helped me pick out some clothes for Taylor and helped me get him ready to go out.
It was the first time I'd been out with both of them, and it was a really lovely day. I saw how loving and protective Bradley is towards his baby brother, and I realised just how grown up he is, how clever he is getting and we had some lovely, grown up conversations. :)
Bradley traded in some of his old games and chose a new one, then we went for a yummy fresh pizza in a new pizza bar, Stonebaked Pizza Co followed by milkshakes in our favourite milkshake shop Shakeaway - I had Fruit Salad Chews flavour while Bradley chose Haribo flavour with Parma Violets on top. They were yummy!!

Taylor all dressed up ready to go.

Bradley holding his little brother - how cute is this top!!?

I love how they interact... :)

Yummy pizza for lunch, freshly baked in front of our eyes in less than 5 minutes!

We spent SO long trying to decide which milkshake to have.

My beautiful boys.

Yummy milkshakes :)

A very proud big brother.

Beauty | September Empties & Mini Reviews

Olay Regenerist CC Cream | Bourjois Magic Nail Varnish Remover | Liz Earle Skin Repair Light Moisturiser | TheBodyShop Satsuma Body Sorbet | Avon Naturals Scented Spritz | Sanctuary Spa Salt Scrub Sachet

Olay Regenerist CC Cream (£24.99/Boots)
I was gutted when this ran out, I LOVE it and constantly repurchase when it runs out, it makes my skin feel lovely, its a great all round moisturiser and primer. BUT, I'm currently trying to budget my beauty spend, so looking for cheaper alternatives so Ive picked up another Olay moisturiser to trial instead.
Would I Recommend? Yes, it really is a great skincare product!
Would I Repurchase? Yes and I'm sure I will sometime soon. :)

Bourjois Magic Nail Varnish Remover (£4.99/Boots)
I won this in a competition when they were first released. You can't argue that it's a fantastic nail varnish remover, so quick and easy! Just dip your nail in, twist a few times and ta-daa!!
Would I Recommend? For quick, easy nail varnish removal without the faff of cotton wool, you HAVE to have this in your collection!
Would I Repurchase? I've already repurchased a couple more pots of the new version which includes a sponge for toe nails too!

Liz Earle Skin Repair Light Moisturiser (£7.50/50ml)
I love Liz Earle. As far as skin care goes, Liz Earle is up there with the best. I loved the way the moisturiser feels on my skin. It's not the best fragrance for me, but it doesn't stop me using loads of the stuff! I'm all out now, which is a shame!
Would I Recommend? Yes, it's a lovely, comfortable moisturiser that makes your skin feel soft and healthy.
Would I Repurchase? Most definitely, at some point.

TheBodyShop Satsuma Body Sorbet (£8.00)
I had to try this when the sorbets first were launched. I wasn't sure of the consistency at first but was in love with the satsuma scent! Read my full review here.
Would I Recommend? Definitely give it a go! It can be a little sticky though, but its worth seeing what its about!
Would I Repurchase? I probably wouldn't choose another sorbet.

Avon Naturals Scented Spritz in Rose & Chocolate and Strawberry & Guava (£3.00 each)
These can be used as sprays for the body or home. I used the rose & chocolate on myself a few times but my main use for them is in my iron! Yes really! ;) I pop some in the water before adding it to my iron, makes my laundry smell lush! :) I always pick up a few bottles when they're on sale.
Would I Recommend? Yes why not. They're a cheap spray for body or around the home.
Would I Repurchase? When they're on sale at only £1 each I'll always pick some up!

Sanctuary Spa Salt Scrub Sachet (£1.75)
Their salt scrub is lush, no one can deny that. It's a proper scrubby scrub, which I love! And it's really moisturising too! I received a couple of sachets in a gift box for my birthday and just getting round to use them.
Would I Recommend? Yes it's lovely stuff!
Would I Repurchase? One day maybe.
