30 week bump | Practising putting up the pushchair | Hospital bag essentials | Bump selfie
How far along?
30 weeks.
Size of baby?
Baby is apparently measuring approx. the length of a pineapple. Although my little hippo is probably a lot bigger :)
Any news this week?
I'm getting huge. People are shocked when I tell them I'm only 30 weeks, I look like I'm ready to pop any minute! I'm starting to struggle quite a bit now; backache & bump ache are awful especially come halfway through the day. I'm getting really tired too. I've had quite a busy week, as sadly I lost my Grandad on Monday; I've spent a lot of time with my Mum and keeping her busy as she isn't doing very well. So by the end of the day I'm exhausted! I'm unsure if he's still breech as movements have felt a little different the last day or so, but we shall see.
Clothes?
My New Look Maternity Leggings (£14.99 for 2) have been a god send, I've wore them with vest tops most of the week. I've tried to feel a bit more summery by wearing my AX Paris Floral Printed maxi dress (£30.00) and popping some flowers into wavy hair too. :)
Products?
This week I've continued to moisturise daily with both Phytorelax Shea Butter Ultra Rich Body Cream [as far as I'm aware you can only get this in the US, unless imported into stores such as TK Maxx which is where I picked it up from; £4.99] And of course my faithful, Palmer's Cocoa Butter Massage Lotion for Stretch Marks (£2.10*). I've also been reaching for TheBodyShop's Vitamin E Face Mist (£8.00) & Peppermint Cooling Foot Spray (£6.00) at night times to cool myself down as it's been too hot!
Symptoms:
Bad back ache. Bump ache. A few times I've had awful stitch like pain when I've been walking. Also Braxton Hicks are starting to become a pain, quite literally!!!
Sleep:
This week I've been completely out for the count! As soon as my head hits the pillow I'm gone!! I normally hear every move and noise James makes, but I haven't even been aware of him coming to bed or getting up in the morning. Ive slept on top of the covers every night, wrapped around my Argos Sleep Pillow (£11.99) and have actually rarely been waking in the night for the loo; pretty sure that won't last long!! :)
Missing anything?
Missing anything?
Wearing nice summer clothes. Being slim? lol.
Movement:
Still lots of strong movements.
Any purchases?:
A couple of necessities for my hospital bag.
Best moment this week:
Worst moment this week:
Losing my Grandad. :(
Food cravings:
Anything making you queasy or sick:
No.
Belly Button in or out?
It's out; well at the surface. It's quite painful though as it's stretching my scar from my keyhole surgery.
Mood:
Tired. A little fed up due to the hot weather and uncomfortableness.
Looking forward to:
Our HD Live scan on Monday!!
Sounds like it's going well - sorry to hear about your grandad, I hope you and your mum can continue to support one another, and I'm sure once the baby is here she will have no problem keeping busy! Ice lollies are completely appropriate bearing in mind some of the lovely weather we've enjoyed this week!
