Pregnancy | 23 weeks

How far along?
23 weeks.

Size of baby?
This week the baby was approx the size of a grapefruit. [length wise]

Approx 10.5-11.8 inches.

Any news this week?
We went down to the Isle of Wight this week, was lovely to get away. Bump is growing well!

Clothes?
Being on holiday, I struggled with clothing this week. I now can't get into any of my previous wardrobe, it's all maternity wear from here. Was really hard dressing in different weathers and different situations this week though. Although I was most comfortable in my maxi skirts, so I'm hoping for a bit more warm weather to be able to wear those more often. I love my maternity vest top from Beebies Baby Store which is perfect to layer up with cardigans and wraps, so comfortable!

Products?
This week I've been moisturising with the Sanctuary Body Butter (£10.00*) and Palmer's Cocoa Butter Massage Lotion for Stretch Marks (£2.10).

Symptoms:
The pains I was experiencing a lot last week have subsided slightly, although I've still been getting them now and then. After reading up about it, it sounds a little more serious than just braxton hicks, so I'm keeping a close eye on it and will bring it up with my midwife this week at my appointment.

Sleep:
Can't get enough sleep! Although getting a little uncomfortable. May have to invest in a special pillow!!

Missing anything?
Just being able to do things normally :) But I'm loving my bumpage at the mo!! ;)

Movement:
Oh lots of very strong movement!

Any purchases?:
A few more little outfits. 2 big boxes of newborn nappies, a box of wipes, bottles - making the most of the ASDA Baby & Toddler event! ;)

Best moment this week:

James lying on my tummy chatting away to
baby while he kicked away at him :)

Worst moment this week:
Just being uncomfortable and not being able to do as much on holiday.

Food cravings:
Ice lollies!!

Anything making you queasy or sick:

No.

Belly Button in or out?

Still in, but def changing, its getting smaller in there!! lol

Mood:

Tired.

Looking forward to:

Today I reach my 24 week V day milestone! Yay! I also have a midwife appointment this week.

Can't believe I'm now 24 weeks, 16 weeks to go!!

Pregnancy | 22 weeks

How far along?
22 weeks.

Size of baby?
This week the baby was approx the size of a papaya. [length wise]

Any news this week?
I'm officially a whale! No really, what the hell happened this week?! Look at the size of my bump! At 22 weeks!! I look ready to give birth! I feel huge and getting really uncomfortable already. He's moving around lots tho which is fab! Actual twisty turney movements, and I've started to see his movements on the outside too, which is fab for James and Bradley to see. I'll be lying or sitting and then I'll see a little ripple or a bump popping out. :)

Clothes?
This week I've mainly been in maternity jeans or maxi skirts. This warm weather has been pretty hard to dress in!!

Products?
This week I've been moisturising with the Sanctuary Body Butter (£10.00*) and Palmer's Cocoa Butter Massage Lotion for Stretch Marks (£2.10).

Symptoms:
Still very tired. I've also been getting really strong pains, I'm guessing they're braxton hicks, I can't seem to remember how they feel exactly, or if I got them this early on with Bradley. They're quite painful though, and very 'contraction' like. Ouch.

Sleep:
Can't get enough sleep! Although getting a little uncomfortable.

Missing anything?
Just being able to do things normally :) Housework usually calls for a nap afterwards! ;)

Movement:
Yep, he's def learning a little dance routine in there daily!

Any purchases?:
James keeps buying him little outfits! :)

Best moment this week:

The movements have just been so lovely!!

Worst moment this week:
The braxton hicks type pains have been quite painful if not a little worrying
every time, they pass though so I'm pretty sure thats all they are.

Food cravings:
Ice lollies!!

Anything making you queasy or sick:

No.

Belly Button in or out?

Still in, but def changing, its getting smaller in there!! lol

Mood:

Tired and quite hormonal.

Looking forward to:

Next week I reach my 24 week V day milestone.

Can't believe I'm now 23 weeks, 17 weeks to go!!

Tag | High End vs High Street

1. What is your favourite high end item?
Just one?? Ahhh. I couldn't decide between Chanel Lift Lumiere, MAC Studio Sculpt & MAC Studio Tech. MAC products are my fave. Couldn't be without my Urban Decay Naked 2 palette either.

2. What is your favourite high street item?
Ooh lets see. To be honest I don't think I use that many high street products. That's quite bad isn't it!! I love love love W7's Africa Bronzer and Sleek contour kit. My Olay CC cream is probably my favourite high street item.

3. Name one high end item that was a disappointment/wasn't worth the hype.
I tried YSL's Touche Eclat foundation, and it really wasn't that great at all. I wouldn't repurchase.

4. Name one high street item that surprised you in terms of how much you love it.
As I mentioned, W7's Africa bronzer is gorgeous, they do boxed Benefit bronzer dupes and they're lovely.  I also LOVE the Revlon Colourburst Lip Butters!!

5. If you could only buy high end or high street for the rest of your life, which would you choose?
High end, most definitely. I couldn't do without MAC, ever ever!

6. What are your best dupes?
Other than the W7 boxed bronzers, Maybelline Colour Tattoo eyeshadows are fab dupes of MAC Paint Pots, although I still end up buying MACs as I'm such an addict!

7. If all of your makeup disappeared, what would be the first 5 products you repurchased (high end or high street)?
Okay, MAC Studio Tech for base, Urban Decay Naked palette 2 or 3 for eye colour, MAC Eye Kohl for liner, Benefit's They're Real for my lashes & Benefit Rockafella bronzer/blush for cheek colour.

8. What is your favourite brand overall (high end or high street)?
MAC. I'm a bit of an addict!

I TAG YOU! I am tagging anybody that is reading this (whether you have a blog or not); either leave me a comment below answering the questions, or write the answers on your blog!

Pregnancy | 21 weeks

How far along?
21 weeks.

Size of baby?
This week the baby was approx the size of a pomegranate. [length wise]

Any news this week?
I feel as though my bump has popped out so much this last week, I feel huge and so uncomfortable already!! And he's been moving around constantly, proper little kicks and punches. Best feeling ever!

Clothes?
Still leggings/maternity trousers with jumpers/maternity tops. Had to get re-fitted for bras again this week as they're still expanding! Feel so much better in a better fitted bra though!!

Products?
Still using The Body Shop's cocoa butter body butter, and have purchased Palmers Cocoa Butter Stretch Mark cream, haven't used Palmers for a while, but remember that gorgeous smell well!! :)

Symptoms:
Tiredness.

Sleep:
Still sleeping well the majority of the time as so tired but often struggle to get back to sleep, which is tricky with the amount of times I have to get up for a wee during the night!!

Missing anything?
Started to miss sleeping on my tummy!!

Movement:
Lots and lots now, although it can't be felt from the outside much yet.

Any purchases?:
Been picking up random clothes and outfits. :)

Best moment this week:

All the fab movement he's been making.

Worst moment this week:
Hmm, it's all been good I think.

Food cravings:
Milkshakes. I drank 2 bottles of Strawberry Frij this morning!!

Anything making you queasy or sick:

No.

Belly Button in or out?

Still in, but definitely changing!

Mood:

Tired and emotional.

Looking forward to:

I think the next milestone is my 24 week V Day.

Pregnancy | 20 weeks

How far along?
20 weeks.

Size of baby?

This week the baby is approx the size of a banana. [length wise]

He's currently 12 oz, and 15cm long. :)

Any news this week?

Reaching my halfway 20 week milestone was a lovely feeling. We also had our much anticipated detailed scan. Everything seemed perfect and as it should be, which was a nice relief!! :)

Clothes?
Leggings and maternity trousers with jumpers or maternity tops.

Products?
I ran out of my usual bump cream, so Im on the lookout for a new one, open to suggestions!!

Symptoms:
Been getting more backache this week, although I think its from work. Constantly picking things up from the floor hasn't done me much good.

Sleep:
Im constantly tired so sleeping well the majority of the time. Although last night I woke at 4 and couldn't for the life of me get back to sleep. And baby was doing the Cha Cha Slide in there! :)

Missing anything?
Clear skin!!!

Movement:
I had 3 days where I didn't feel him move and got quite worried, but maybe he'd just changed position and I couldn't feel him as much, as he soon made himself known again! :)

Any purchases?:
We bought a swing chair, and James bought him another outfit.

Best moment this week:

The detailed scan showing all is as it should be! :)

Worst moment this week:
Not feeling him move for a few days, after feeling him constantly, it was quite scary! Luckily he's back to normal now.

Food cravings:
Sugar. So annoyed at myself for giving in when I said I wouldn't!!

Anything making you queasy or sick:

No.

Belly Button in or out?

Still in.

Mood:

Just tired.

Looking forward to:

I think the next milestone is my 24 week V Day.

Life | My Week [Mar24-30]

Hello lovelies!!

Hope you've all had a good week!
Mine started with me being quite poorly [hence why I didn't get around to posting last week] - I had the flu jab and it made me quite ill. I was fine for a couple of days, except a painful dead arm, but come the weekend I had a really bad head, a high temperature and flu like symptoms such as aches and pains, stuffy head and sore throat. It really knocked me out!

Luckily by Wednesday I was all rested up and ready to take my ever expanding ass, and my lovely boyfriend along to his first Backstreet Boys show. :) Anyone that knows me personally knows that those boys have meant a lot to me for a long time. I've been going to see them pretty much every year, only having ever missed one tour, since 1996 when I was just 12 years old. My teenage years pretty much revolved around them, then as I got older and met some amazing friends through them, I was lucky enough to manage to meet them a fair few times and share some amazing experiences with them, a few nights drinking in 5 star hotel bars, crazy parties, games and cheeky private music previews in their hotel rooms. It's fair to say they've been a big part of my life, even if the majority of people don't quite understand it. 18 years on, at 30 years old, celebrating their almost 21 year anniversary, I was back boogying away to all their classics standing at the front row barrier, with James stood behind me cradling my bump! :) It was nice to take James along, I'd love to introduce him to them one day! :)

This weekend, we drove down to the South coast for our friends Laura & Andy's wedding. I've known Laura for 8 years, and I was so so happy to see her get married! It was a lovely weekend catching up with friends and their families!

Sunday marked my halfway, 20 week pregnant mark, which is a lovely milestone! Perfect to happen on Mothers Day, and to spend the afternoon with my other little man! <3
We're looking forward to the detailed scan this week, so hopefully all is going exactly as it should be and I'll be filling you in with good news next week! :)

A few pictures from this week...

Loving a bit of front row action at the Backstreet Boys gig on Wednesday! ;)

James & I waiting for the ceremony to start.

James & I & bump! <3

Laura & Andy - the newlyweds cutting the cake.

Me & my beautiful friends, Alex & Amy.

Favourite Beauty Product of the Week...
I've mixed up my usual foundation choice this week and been using MAC's Studio Sculpt again. I love the smooth, glowy finish it gives. The only downside is it shows up my lines a lot, which my usual foundations don't do.

Favourite item of Clothing this Week...
I bought a maternity dress this week for the wedding, as I was struggling to find  something flattering to wear. I found a lovely dress on online baby store - Beebies Baby Store - I still felt fat and frumpy but the dress was that comfortable, I didn't even change for the evening into a different dress as planned!

Favourite Fragrance of the Week...
I've been using my Herra Hair Perfume lots this week - forgot how much I love that stuff!!

Favourite Bit of the Week...
The Backstreet Boys concert and the wedding! Both fab times!!

Favourite TV of the Week...
I'm loving Revenge this week it's getting really good!! :)

Have a fab week guys!!
