NOTW - Rimmel Lycra Pro in Urban Princess

I sorted through my nail polishes this week, getting rid of a good 15 bottles. I was shocked at how many bottles of nail polish I actually owned! 

I got James to choose my nail polish this week. I was impressed with his choice ;) I hadn't used this colour in a while.

I love this colour, I have numerous amounts of different shades of pinks but this is definitely a favourite in my nail collection. It is my understanding that Rimmel have discontinued this range now, replacing it with the new Salon Pro, which I have yet to try.

Wide maxi-style brushes are my fave! A quick 2-3 sweeps and you're left with a smooth, shiny finish. 2 coats make a perfect finish. Rimmel claim the polish will last up to 10 days. They weren't wrong!! I've been actually amazed at the staying power of this polish. I was expecting them to start chipping halfway through the week, but no, no chips whatsoever.. ALL WEEK! I own a LOT of nail polish, but this one is definitely up there as one of the best. And for a high street / drug store brand, this is pretty impressive.  A week on since application, there is a small amount of wear at the tips of 2 nails, and a little growth at the cuticles, other than that, there is not a scratch or chip in sight! Me thinks I'm def going to have to give the new Salon Pro a try! 

Pretty unimpressed that one of my nails have broken though, and they're feeling a little weak. I'm going to have to swap my usual 'nail hardener' for another brand I think, any suggestions??

Would I recommend it?

Yes, a fantastic, long lasting polish. This polish would be almost perfect for a week away since it lasts, with no chips. Usually I begin to see a few chips, scratches and general wear and tear by Thursday. But this lasted all week. I have no doubt the Salon Pro in it's place is just as good, if not a little better. 

Would I re-purchase?

Yes, I'll be having a look at the Salon Pro's next time I'm at a Rimmel stand!
